Description

The idea for this painting came from snorkling off Marathon Key, Florida….

The water was clear beneath the waves, as we peered down at the coral just 15 feet below.  But the water turned dark and imposing when I looked out toward the open ocean.  I have what I consider to be a very health fear of sharks, and in my mind I could imagine one of these skilled predators materializing out of the gloom…..
